Over 38 Years Of Combined Sniper Experience

Alan started his military career when he was 16 year old, in the Home Guard youth program. From there he advanced to officer cadet school and later military academy. During his career he commissioned through the ranks up to Major.

His long range shooting and sniping career started in 1996 with further education at the US Marine Corps sniper school in 2003 and 2005. He passed the scout/sniper instructor course at the top of his class and graduated with honour in 2003. Later in 2005 he passed the scout/sniper advanced and platoon commander course with top results and both his achievements earned him letters of appreciation from two different Generals in the Army.

In 2007 he was tasked to re-establish a sniper community in the Norwegian armed forces and became the master sniper of the Army in 2009. He has written all handbooks on sniping, training programs and handbooks for the Norwegian Defence, with many of the techniques and educational methods adopted by other NATO countries.

From 2021 Jensen was given leave from the Army and has run Parallax full time since then. Jensen is also the inventor and producer of the G.O.A.S.T Target System which is getting increasingly popular within both military and civilian shooting communities. 

Alex has worked with Alan for more than a decade in both the Armed Forces and Parallax.  He is one of our lead instructors as well as being head of business development and customer management. He started his military career in 2004 and then after promoting through the ranks to OR-7, he retired in 2021.

His military background is primarily reconnaissance, starting with ranger officer candidate school. He completed his first sniper course in 2008 and became a sniper team leader in 2012. In 2014 he became the chief sniper instructor at the army land warfare centre and stayed in post until retirement in 2021. Throughout his career, Alex has instructed in several international urban, alpine and desert Special Forces sniper specialisation courses. He has also deployed twice with ISAF.

Alex is also a qualified instructor in Urban Warfare, CQB, Night Military Operations, Military Driving and Mobility, Combat-Medicine and Small Arms. Other skills and qualifications consist of Escort Duty, Close Protection, Mission Planning, Arctic Operations, Small Unit Tactics, Force Protection and Radio Specialist.
