Terms and Conditions for Course Registration
1. Contract Formation
By registering for a course, activity, training either by registering on Parallax CTS courses, or by entering a verbal and /or written contract for training, a binding agreement is entered into between Parallax Combat Training Solutions and the participant (or the participant’s employer).
For all government agencies courses and training a cancellation deadline of six (6) weeks prior to the course start date applies.
Cancellations received less than six weeks before the course start will result in full invoicing of the course fee.
2. Legal BasisThese terms are governed by Norwegian law and relevant European regulations:
The Norwegian Contracts Act (Act of 31 May 1918, No. 4), §§ 1 and 36
Under Norwegian law, agreements entered into are binding for both parties unless special circumstances render them unreasonable. Cancellation clauses are widely accepted and enforceable between professional parties.
The Norwegian Sale of Goods Act (Act of 13 May 1988, No. 27), §§ 39 and 52 (applied analogously)
If the purchaser fails to meet payment obligations, the seller may demand performance. Cancellation after the contractual deadline does not release the purchaser from payment if the seller has already incurred costs.
Rome I Regulation (EC No. 593/2008)
The contract is governed by Norwegian law, as the characteristic performance is carried out in Norway.
Brussels I Regulation (EU No. 1215/2012)
Any dispute shall be brought before Norwegian courts, where the service was to be provided.
The Norwegian Interest on Overdue Payments Act (Act of 17 December 1976, No. 100)
In the event of late payment, statutory interest will accrue from the due date, along with a fixed compensation fee, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/7/EU.
3. Practical and Financial Conditions
Cancellations received after the six-week deadline cannot be accepted without full payment.
By that time, Parallax Combat Training Solutions will already have incurred costs related to venue rental, instructors, course materials, and administrative preparations. It is therefore not possible to replace participants or reduce expenses.
Please note that Parallax CTS is a small enterprise for which course activities constitute a substantial part of its operations. We are contractually bound to our employees and subcontractors and must fulfil these obligations. Non-compliance would directly jeopardize our ability to maintain operations and safeguard employment.

5. Cancellation or relegation of the course
If Parallax has to cancel a course, the cost of the course will be fully reimbursed to the customer.
If the customer has to leave the course for various reasons, or is denied further training, then the course cost is also not refunded.Right of Withdrawal (in accordance with Norwegian law)
