When you set up a shooting range, every piece of equipment matters. But one item often overlooked is the shooting target stand. You might think any stand will do, but a poor stand can cost you training time, patience, and even safety, break during transport, or take forever to assemble. That’s why we designed the GOAST Targetstand to solve these common problems and make your shooting experience smoother and spend less time for logistics.

Built for Mobility.

Proven Through Use.

The Targetstand was designed around three requirements: Lightweight, Mobility and Rapid deployment.

Professional instructors rarely train from permanent facilities. Equipment has to be carried, transported, deployed and packed away, often several times a day.

Every kilogram matters.

A complete Targetstand PRO system packs into a compact rucksack together with GOAST targets, Straps and LED Flashers, allowing instructors to carry significantly more equipment over large distances without increasing weight. A standard 120-litre military bag can carry 4-5 complete Targetstand PRO systems, including targets, while keeping the total weight below 20 kg.

The result is a target system that can be transported by a single person and deployed in minutes in any terrain.

Lightweight Without Compromising Strength

Keeping weight low doesn't mean sacrificing durability.

The Targetstand has gone through several design iterations, each reinforcing areas identified during testing and training. The goal was never to build the heaviest stand on the market. It was to build one that withstands repeated professional use while remaining practical to carry and reducing logistical time.

It isn't designed to withstand hurricane-force winds. It is designed to survive repeated deployment, transport and thousands of training repetitions without becoming a burden to the user.

That balance is what makes it suitable for instructors, mobile training teams and organisations that regularly build temporary ranges.

"The Targetstand was designed as part of the GOAST ecosystem."

The mounting system allows GOAST targets to be attached quickly using straps, hooks or zipties, making target changes fast during training. Whether switching target sizes or replacing an entire drill, instructors spend less time rebuilding the range and more time teaching.

The modular design also makes transport and storage considerably easier than traditional wooden frames or welded steel stands.

Rapid Range Deployment

Building a training range shouldn't take longer than the training itself.

The lightweight construction allows multiple complete target systems to be carried to the firing point by one person. Assembly requires no specialised tools, making it possible to establish temporary firing lanes quickly, whether on a permanent range or in remote training locations.

For instructors running several exercises throughout the day, saving even a few minutes on every setup quickly becomes hours over the course of a training season.

Built for Professional Training

The Targetstand is used anywhere mobility and reliability matter.

  • Military training

  • Law enforcement training

  • Sniper and precision rifle courses

  • Instructor-led programmes

  • Shooting competitions

  • Civilian ranges

  • Mobile training events

Rather than designing equipment around the range, the Targetstand PRO was designed around the people carrying it.

Final Thoughts

A target stand rarely gets much attention until it slows training down.

Heavy stands take time to move. Weak stands break. Bulky stands reduce how much equipment you can bring to the range.

The GOAST Targetstand was developed to solve those problems through lightweight construction, rapid deployment and continuous refinement based on field use.

For instructors and organisations that value mobility, it allows more targets to be transported, more training lanes to be established and more time to be spent where it matters - on the range.

EnforceTac 2026 truly delivered and what a week!

We have had great conversations and seen a strong interest in our course material as well as target systems, and had plenty of meaningful discussions about where we are heading. It’s clear that innovation and collaboration are moving faster than ever and the need for new solutions is now.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us, both familiar faces and new connections.

We have landed several collaborations tjat will bring some very interesting results in the coming years🤝

The energy this year was exceptional and

now the real work begins. Looking forward to the next steps.
